Michigan AIRS Board Committees
Below is a listing of current Board Committees and members. We'd love to have participation from our members! If you're interested in learning more, please contact the Committee chairperson.
Communication Committee: Promotes general awareness of I&R services and MI-AIRS; educates potential members and public entities about I&R and MI-AIRS coordinates methods of information distribution such as newsletters, websites, list-serves; responds to media, elected officials and other public entities as needed.
Finance Committee: Develops a yearly budget for Board review; maintains MI-AIRS IRS status; reviews and monitors the MI-AIRS budget.
Nominating and Membership Committee: Prepares a slate of Board member nominees to be presented at the Annual Business Meeting, striving for balanced representation throughout the state; coordinates recruitment of new Board members; maintains MI-AIRS membership records; coordinates renewals of current members and encourages recruitment of new MI-AIRS Members.
Program Committee: Plans training and certification opportunities to further I&R skill development, including annual statewide conference.
AIRS 2020 Conference Planning Committee: One year committee to help plan various aspects related to hosting the National AIRS Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan June 2020.
